Stephen Kelly has called Celtic 'naive' after they lost 2-0 in the Champions League opener to Feyenoord.Brendan Rodgers' side were comfortably outplayed on the night and also were shown two red cards in the process.
Calvin Stengs opened the scoring just before half-time before Gustaf Lagerbielke was shown red at the 63rd minute. Five minutes later Odin Thiago Holm was also sent for an early shower and Alireza Jahanbakhsh ended the match as a contest with Feyenoord's second.
Appearing on RTE, Stephen Kelly was asked of his opinion and said: "They were unlucky and naive at times tonight, it was a bit of both. Then you have to look at the overall picture of the game. Did Feyenoord look really troubled by Celtic and you'd say so no as a whole.
"There are moments where they gave the ball away and they were caused by themselves passing it in bad areas and Celtic nicking it but Celtic never actually did anything with them situations."Overall Feyenoord were probably much more comfortable in the game than Celtic were and Celtic will probably have to realise what they need to do but it was like the little things like passing into the middle of the park and getting caught for stuff like that and not changing it and those are things Celtic need to learn from.
