Robert Lewandowski has already told Chelsea why they should sign Erling Haaland this summer.
The Blues have Haaland at the very top of their transfer shortlist heading into this summer with Thomas Tuchel and Marina Granovskaia keen to land a top striker.
Valued as high as £150million, Haaland very much fits into that category, but a difficult task awaits the Blues with everyone from Barcelona to Real Madrid and Manchester City to Manchester United also interested in a move.
And Haaland has even hinted he could stay put, enjoying life at Borussia Dortmund and with the comfort of a £68m release clause kicking in next summer.
Amid interest from the likes of Chelsea, one of Haaland's Bundesliga rivals in Lewandowski believes the Norwegian striker 'can be the best'.
“He’s a great player. He has huge potential and he’s still very young,” the Bayern Munich superstar told CBS Sports on Paramount+.
“If I see his face and how hungry he is to score goals. In the future, he has a chance to be the best striker in the world, for sure.
“But sometimes when everything is going well, it’s really not easy. But if you see him, he has scored so many goals and he’s so young."
He added: “It’s great to play in the Bundesliga and it’s great to see a young player in this league and compare.
“He is the player who can be the best, but I want to play at the highest for many more years, so I am happy to be there where I am.”
Ultimately, it could come down to who can afford Haaland given his mammoth transfer fee, and Chelsea are hoping that is what will set them apart, going up against some of the biggest clubs in world football for the striker's signature.
