Danjuma and Richarlison decision - The Tottenham team Ryan Mason must pick to face Leeds United

Tottenham Hotspur end their disappointing season with a trip to Leeds United on Sunday and they need to win to stand any chance of European qualification.

Spurs' top four hopes dissolved a few weeks ago and now their only hopes of continental football next season lie with the Europa Conference League. However, to qualify for that they need to win at Leeds - no small task as they have not won outside London since October - and hope Aston Villa fail to beat Brighton at home at the same time.

We asked our Tottenham correspondents Alasdair Gold and Rob Guest to predict the team they reckon acting head coach Ryan Mason will select.

Mason has to tap into the great first half Spurs had against Brentford with his favoured 4-2-3-1 formation and eradicate the mistakes they made in the second period against Thomas Frank's side.

Dejan Kulusevski impressed in his favoured number 10 role and Son Heung-min and Arnaut Danjuma brought energy down the flanks. Mason could be tempted to bring in the battling tendencies of Richarlison for this game in what will be a noisy atmosphere but he would lose Danjuma's ability to run in behind.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg's return could see Oliver Skipp drop to the bench if Mason wants the combined experienced of the Dane and Yves Bissouma. Elsewhere, with Cristian Romero still out, the team pretty much picks itself.

Gold's team: Forster; Emerson, Sanchez, Lenglet, Davies; Bissouma, Hojbjerg; Danjuma, Kulusevski, Son; Kane.

Playing very well in the opening 45 minutes against Brentford last week but seeing the levels drop in the second half, the quest for Mason at Leeds is to get a 90-minute performance from his team. Tottenham looked much better for the 4-2-3-1 formation, with Dejan Kulusevski playing one of his best games of the season in his preferred No.10 role.

As Cristian Romero will miss out at Elland Road through injury, Davinson Sanchez and Clement Lenglet will get the nod in the heart of defence once again. There could be a change in midfield, though, with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg back training at Hotspur Way after his absence against Brentford.

That could result in Oliver Skipp making way so that the Dane can partner Yves Bissouma in midfield. Arnaut Danjuma worked very hard in the home defeat at Bournemouth but not much came off for him, thus possibly opening up the door for Richarlison to come back in and play on the left with Son Heung-min moving across to the right.

Far from his best this campaign with injury severely restricting his minutes, the Brazilian finishing this season on a positive could maybe bode well for next term.

Guest's team: Forster; Emerson, Sanchez, Lenglet, Davies; Bissouma, Hojbjerg; Son, Kulusevski, Richarlison; Kane.
