Chelsea already have an eye on their defensive target ahead of the summer transfer window.
That's according to reports in Spain, which claim Sevilla star Jules Kounde is on the radar of the Blues and the 'answer' to their defensive issues.
Chelsea have been largely defensively solid under Thomas Tuchel, but they showed they can still concede goals with a shock 5-2 defeat to West Brom last time out in the Premier League.
That could lead the Blues to sign a defender this summer and it's claimed Kounde, who has become one of the most sought-after centre-backs in world football, could be the man.
Sevilla experts La Colina de Nervion claim Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, Barcelona and Real Madrid are all interested and a transfer could be very possible.
It's claimed Sevilla chief Monchi will 'listen to offers' but that he will not make the exit 'easy', knowing just how much demand there is for Kounde and how much he is worth.
A £50million fee has been mentioned, but this latest report could suggest Monchi will hold out to closer to the defender's £68m release clause.
In any case, Kounde is going to cost a fair amount this summer and with a top striker on the radar of Chelsea, it's unclear whether the Blues are willing to spend quite that much to secure a centre-back, particularly if Thiago Silva extends his stay for another season.
Kounde has been at Sevilla since his 2019 move from Bordeaux and he has hugely impressed both this season and last, racking up a total of 54 appearances in La Liga.
The Frenchman joined Sevilla for around £20m, meaning the Andalusian club are set to more than double their money if they are forced into selling their prize defender.
