A Valentine's Day card featuring Enoch Burke and a cheeky caption has sparked mixed reaction online.

The dismissed teacher has been making headlines in recent months due to a high-profile standoff with his old school.

Mr Burke is currently in Mountjoy Prison for refusing to purge contempt of court. He was suspended on full pay from Wilson’s Hospital School in Westmeath in 2022 for refusing a request to address a student by a new name and refer to them by they/them pronouns.

He continued to attend the school and it went to the court to obtain an order keeping him away. He was released from prison in December 2022, but later sent back in September 2023 as he continued to show up to the premises.

Pictures of the Mayo man standing outside the school quickly gained traction online and became a viral meme.

These scenes have now been immortalised on a card for the most romantic day of the year.

The card depicts Burke standing outside the school gates, with the caption: "I'LL NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER LEAVE YOU X"

It is being sold by Craic Cards for €7.95. The firm shared it on their social media channels, causing some people to erupt with laughter.

One person wrote: "Brilliant where can I get one."

Another said: "I’ve bought this can’t wait to give it to my fiance."

Someone else posted: "So funny, brilliant, had to buy."

Others comments include: "I screamed", "This is hilarious", and "I want it for myself."

However, not all viewers were impressed. One person said: "That's what we have turned into in Ireland, laughing at our own people."
